Lee and I met in 1984 at the train station in Bremen Germany and have not ever stopped working together since.
Our duo has been a work in progress on many different levels, also going into experimental fields of music, mixing the language of ancient music with our fascination for certain kinds of popular music, different styles of improvisation, ornamentation and variation, wich coincides with the way we treat our relationship; trying never to predict the other person gives unlimited freedom for indivdual developement, therfore our musical and personal relationship has managed to stay alive and kicking.
Lee's compositions have challenged me often to the limits of my abilities, his critizism has edged me onwards, his honesty has given me security, his support has given me courage; per aspera ad astra.
In January 2002 we recorded a CD with pieces by Lee which is called "The Start And The Sea". It was released on the label Carpe Diem in Berlin. In 2005 a CD with early works by Marin Marais was published under the title "pour la violle & le théorbe" and in September 2007 another Duo CD was published: "Les voix humaines" with a selection of character pieces by Marin Marais.
